1925 Turkish passport

Used by a Jewish Russian refugee.

A post WWI example issued by Turkey for a Jewish refugee going to British Palestine.

The visa for the Mandate was issued by British PCO in Istanbul Arthur Whittall.

In my previous example I wrote about another refugee issued travel document, a Polish 1922 Nansen that was used to go to the Mandate as well the same year.

I have added images of this early refugee passport.

Thank you for reading “Our Passports”.
